The fabulous founders and farmers of Tasman Sea Salt, Chris Manson and Alice Laing have a passion for artisanal food. Moving from the UK to Chris’ home state Tasmania with the dream of producing one of the world’s finest sea salts they have successfully created something magical. Beginning during a trip home to visit family in Tasmania, Chris and Alice questioned why they weren’t able to buy local sea salt when the environment and natural resources of Tasmania seemed ideal for salt production. This planted the seed of an exciting idea and in 2013 they moved back to Tasmania to set up their business harvesting sea salt.
Tasman Sea Salt harvests 100% natural, unrefined sea salt flakes from the pristine Tasmanian seas. With Tasmania being renowned for having the purest air and water in the world it is the perfect place for cool climate, gourmet sea salt production.
